"In pure architecture the smallest detail should have a meaning or serve a purpose."– Augustus W. N. Pugin
PRE-ENGINEERED BUILDINGS
Pre Engineered Buildings (PEB) are structures that are designed in a factory and erected on-site. PEBs are typically steel structures. Built-up pieces are built to exact dimensions at the factory, transported to the job site, and assembled with bolted connections. This type of Structural Concept is commonly utilized to construct Industrial Buildings, Metro Stations, Warehouses, and so on.
I learned that it has various advantages, such as Lower Cost, Flexibility of Expansion, Larger Spans, Quality Control, Low Maintenance, Energy-Efficient Roofing and Wall Systems, Architectural Versatility, Single Source Availability.
iIt has also different applications. Almost every conceivable building use has been achieved with PEB; the most common applications are industrial, institutional and commercial buildings. The major application of PESB is found in the following-
-
Houses & Living Shelters
-
Factories
-
Warehouses
-
Sports Halls ( Indoor and Outdoor)
-
Aircraft Hangers
-
Supermarkets
-
Workshops
-
Office Buildings
-
Labor Camps
-
Petrol Pumps/Service Buildings
